Unboxing the NutriBullet Ultra x McLaren Formula 1 Team Blender — Is This the Fastest Personal Blender Yet?
Formula 1 speed meets kitchen power. Today we’re unboxing the brand-new NutriBullet Ultra x McLaren Formula 1 Team — a collab that brings racing-inspired design straight to your countertop. Packed with a 1200-watt motor, a titanium-coated Rapid Extractor Blade, and NutriBullet’s signature glow interface, this isn’t just another personal blender — it’s built for people who want performance in every blend. Let’s crack open the box and see what’s inside, from the 32oz and 24oz cups to the to-go lids and recipe guide, and find out if this McLaren-branded beast lives up to the hype.

I test a lot of personal blenders — and most of them look the same in the box. So when the NutriBullet Ultra x McLaren Formula 1 Team blender landed on my counter, I’ll admit the papaya-orange and McLaren racing livery made this one stand out before I even hit the power button. Here’s my first-impressions unboxing — appearance, what’s in the box, and how it stacks up against the standard NutriBullet Ultra 1200W it’s built on.
First Impressions: Appearance & Build
Pull the lid off the box and the McLaren styling is immediate — the motor base carries the papaya-orange and black McLaren Racing color scheme instead of NutriBullet’s usual matte gray or black finish, with McLaren branding printed right on the base. It has the same compact, streamlined silhouette NutriBullet is known for, so it won’t eat up counter space, but it visually reads more “performance gadget” than “kitchen appliance.” For anyone who blends daily, that’s a nice touch — the base sits under the cup with the same illuminated glow interface NutriBullet uses across the Ultra line, lighting up as soon as the cup locks in.
How It Compares to the Standard NutriBullet Ultra
The McLaren edition is a cosmetic and licensing variant, not a hardware upgrade — worth knowing before you pay a premium for it:
- MOTOR
- → Identical 1200-watt motor in both versions
- BLADE
- → Same titanium-coated Rapid Extractor Blade, same 5-year limited warranty
- CUPS
- → The standard Ultra ships with a 32oz cup, 24oz cup, and an additional 24oz handled cup; the McLaren edition drops the handled cup and includes just the 32oz and 24oz cups
- COLOR OPTIONS
- → Standard Ultra comes in up to 5 finishes; McLaren edition is a single racing-livery colorway
- PRICE
- → Both currently list at $174.99 (PHP8,000±), so you're paying the same price for less included (no handled cup) in exchange for the McLaren design
So functionally, this is the same well-reviewed 1200W blender — the McLaren badge is for collectors and motorsport fans, not a performance upgrade.

What I'd Add to This Unboxing (Things Easy to Skip)
A few steps worth doing during your own unboxing that aren’t always top of mind:
- Inspect the blade before first use.
- → The titanium coating should be even with no chips — check this before you run anything through it, especially since the blade carries its own separate warranty.
- Hand-wash or dishwasher the cups and blade before the first blend.
- → Even though the cups are dishwasher-safe, a quick wash removes manufacturing residue.
- Register the product.
- → NutriBullet's warranty coverage starts from purchase, and registering makes any future claim faster.
- Check the cord length against your outlet.
- → At 29.5", it's shorter than some full-size blenders — worth confirming placement before you commit to a permanent spot on the counter.
- Read the max-fill lines on the cups.
- → This is the step people skip most — overfilling is the #1 cause of motor strain and leaks on single-serve blenders.
- Note what's not in the box.
- → No handled cup here (unlike the standard Ultra), so if you were relying on that for on-the-go sipping, you'll want to buy one separately as an accessory. No recipe booklet as well.
This covers the unboxing — appearance, contents, and how it compares to its non-McLaren sibling. A full performance review (blending tests, noise levels, smoothie texture) is coming next.
