Alright, let’s get into it — this is the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5, and the unit we’ve got is the silver case paired with that lime and white two-tone strap. Really fresh combo, definitely stands out from the usual black or white options.

First Impressions
First thing you notice pulling it out of the box — this thing is small. If you’re coming from bigger watches like an Apple Watch Ultra or a Galaxy Watch, the Fit 5’s rectangular face feels noticeably more compact on the wrist. Not a bad thing at all, especially if you want something that doesn’t feel bulky day to day.
Second thing — it’s light. Like, surprisingly light. Huawei’s spec sheet says it’s around 27 grams, and honestly holding it, that tracks. You forget it’s even on your wrist after a few minutes.
Setup was straightforward too — powers on straight into a language selection screen, we’ve got English, English UK, and Español ready to go, so multi-region friendly out of the box.
In the box you get the watch itself, a magnetic charging cradle with a cable, and the usual paperwork — quick start guide and warranty card. No wall adapter included, so keep that in mind if you don’t already have a USB charger lying around.
This isn’t the full review yet — we’ll be putting it through actual day-to-day use, battery testing, and workout tracking in a follow-up. But first impressions on the unboxing: solid build for the price point, comfortable strap material, and that lime/white colorway photographs really well.
Don’t forget that it looks classy.
- BUMMER!
- The thick bezel of the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 immediately stands out, and unfortunately, it wastes quite a bit of screen space. Another distracting detail is that the curvature of the active display doesn't match the radius of the outer bezel. If you're sensitive to hardware aesthetics, these structural inconsistencies are tough to ignore. I hope Huawei implements a design refinement in their next update to clean up these noticeable layout flaws.

Up close, the Watch Fit 5 shows some nice attention to detail. The display comes with a screen protector film pre-applied, so that’s one less thing to worry about before wearing it out of the box.
The yellow crown accent against the silver case stands out immediately — a small but sharp design choice that ties the whole colorway together. The nylon strap has a solid number of adjustment notches, so getting a comfortable, secure fit on the wrist wasn’t an issue.
Flipping it over, the back sensor cluster is compact and clean, housing the heart-rate and SpO2 sensors alongside the charging pins. Even the small touches, like the HUAWEI branding printed on the strap and case back, give it a finished, premium feel for a watch in this size class.
